Lee 'Scratch' Perry at Black Ark Studio during the early 70's

From: JaDreemah@yahoo.com (Thu Aug 21 08:57:09 2003)
This is a testimony of where reggae, dancehall, or dub got it's start and what it has evolved to...I am a product of surrogate West Indian parents I remember listen to Jack Ruby cassettes, Saxon (of London), Blackstar, Stereo One, and many other soundsystems that paved the way for many sounds today who are recieving noteriety for supplying vibes...Lee Perry is one of the grandfathers of this movement...I say movement because of the progression of the reggae...it grew like a child to an adult and now it is producing other forms of expression in many parts of the world...[ Africa, Japan, Brazil, Canada, America ]
